Have you volunteered at an MCC thrift shop or helped with meat canning? Do you donate material resource supplies or attend relief sales? Have  you served with MCC or given financially? Are you interested in MCC’s work around the world?

Everyone is invited to attend the annual Celebrate MCC Gathering with MCC Great Lakes on February 24-25, at Berlin Mennonite Church in Berlin, Ohio.

Come and bring your friends for a time of worship, fellowship and learning the latest about MCC’s work around the world in the name of Christ. The theme for the gathering is Relief, development and peace in the name of Christ.

The event will kick off on Friday evening with dinner, followed by a worship service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Doug Amstutz, who recently returned from serving with MCC in Ethiopia, will share  from his experiences living and working in that context.

A special breakfast gathering is offered on Saturday morning for congregational representatives, followed by a session for all participants led by the Great Lakes Board. This is your opportunity to give feedback to plans and budgets for the coming year.

A highlight for many participants are the two workshops sessions on Saturday (11:15 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.). This year’s workshops include stories and information from people involved in thrift shops, meat canning, relief sales and material resources. Workshops will also be offered on Foods Resource Bank, Peace & Justice, SWAP and MCC in Ethiopia.

For a full schedule and to download a brochure with workshop descriptions, see the Celebrate MCC page. Register now using the convenient online registration form.
